When installing a single socket 110mm bend, always use a silicone lubricant on the spigot end. To ensure a 100% seal, push the spigot into the receiving socket until it stops, mark a line on the pipe with a pencil, then pull it back by roughly 10mm. This allows for the thermal expansion and contraction that occurs when hot water (like from a washing machine) enters the drainage system.
