A60 Wood Adhesive is a liquid polyurethane glue that represents the pinnacle of timber bonding technology. Unlike standard PVA “white glues,” A60 reacts with the moisture in the air and the wood itself to create a chemical bond that is often stronger than the timber. In the UK, wood hardware is constantly exposed to humidity and rain. A D4 rating means this adhesive is completely waterproof and suitable for constant weather exposure or even short-term immersion in water. The A60 formula is also chemically resistant and can bond more than just wood; it is highly effective for adhering timber to non-porous materials like metal, stone, ceramics, and some plastics, making it a truly versatile workshop essential.
Because A60 Wood Adhesive expands slightly as it foams and cures, it is exceptionally good at “bridging” small gaps in joinery that isn’t perfectly flush. For the best results, ensure one surface is slightly damp to trigger the curing process, apply the glue thinly, and clamp the pieces together.
