A Dry Verge Universal system is a mechanical fixing solution designed to secure the tiles at the gable end (verge) of a roof. Traditionally, these edges were sealed with mortar, which frequently cracks due to thermal expansion and roof movement. Our universal system uses high-impact, UV-stabilized polypropylene units that clip over the tile edges, creating a permanent, watertight seal that moves with the building.
The “Universal” designation means these units are ambidextrous. Unlike older systems that required separate “Left Hand” and “Right Hand” units, the Dry Verge Universal can be used on either side of the roof. This simplifies the ordering process for ECO HEAT SHOP customers and reduces waste on-site, ensuring you always have the right part for the job.
UK weather can be brutal on rooflines. Our dry verge units are engineered to comply with BS 8612 and BS 5534 standards. They feature integrated water-shedding paths that direct rain away from the gable wall, preventing dampness and unsightly staining. Additionally, the secure mechanical fixing significantly reduces the risk of tiles being dislodged during high-wind events or storms.
