A Pipe Clip is a critical support component used to secure rigid ABS or PVC-C waste pipes. In any plumbing installation, maintaining a consistent fall (slope) is vital for efficient drainage. These clips prevent the pipe from bowing under the weight of water or sagging over time, which can lead to standing water, blockages, and foul odors.
Black solvent weld systems are frequently used for external waste runs where they are exposed to the elements. At ECO HEAT SHOP, we supply every Pipe Clip made from high-grade, UV-stabilized polypropylene. This ensures that the bracket will maintain its structural integrity and deep black finish without cracking or becoming brittle due to sun exposure.
For a professional-standard installation, clips should be spaced at specific intervals to prevent “snaking” or “dipping.” We recommend placing a Pipe Clip every 0.5 meters for horizontal runs and every 1.2 meters for vertical runs. The “snap-over” design allows the pipe to slide slightly during thermal expansion, preventing stress on the fixed solvent-welded joints.
