Description
What is a Back Inlet Roddable Gully?
A roddable gully is a specialized underground trap used to collect surface water or greywater from a building’s waste pipes. Unlike standard gullies that may require excavation if a blockage occurs, the “roddable” feature includes a removable internal plug or a bypass channel. This allows a plumber or homeowner to insert drain rods directly into the downstream pipework to clear obstructions easily.
Efficient Waste Management with Back Inlet Technology
The back inlet feature is designed for versatility. It allows a 110mm pipe—such as a rainwater downpipe or a waste pipe from a utility room—to enter the gully from the rear. This consolidated approach reduces the number of underground fittings required, streamlining your drainage layout and reducing the risk of potential leak points.
Odour Control & System Integrity
This gully functions as a large-scale P-trap. By maintaining a water seal, it effectively blocks sewer gases and foul smells from escaping the underground drainage system and rising near your windows or doors. Built to BS EN 1401-1 standards, it is fully compatible with all standard UK 110mm terracotta underground piping.
