A 32mm P Trap (also known as a tubular basin trap) is a critical plumbing fixture installed beneath a bathroom wash hand basin. Its curved “P” shape holds a column of standing water, which acts as a physical barrier. This “water seal” prevents foul-smelling sewer gases from traveling back up the pipes and into the bathroom, making it a mandatory component for any sanitary installation.
In many bathroom renovations, the basin waste and the wall outlet don’t perfectly align.
